Great review! Looks like it's not available in U.S. yet.

Thank you very much.
I don't know about availability but I saw pictures from US based users that have one.

I wonder if a 3A switching supply for the K7 would bestow any improvement over the stock 2A?
I upgraded My ZEN CAN iPower to a 5V 5A supply. I thought it was a subtle upgrade on the way that you describe.

It is not a matter of amperage.
2A is sufficient and using 3A will not give you any sonic improvements.
Actually the K7 draws much less current than 2A.
It is a matter of power supply quality.
Buy an audio grade power supply of your choice with a minimum rating of 2A.

Perhaps I should just use a car battery!

Not all batteries are suitable for audio.
A battery power supply must meet certain design characteristics but this is another story...

The K7 is good as is. I can always add the Zen Can if I need more power.

Adding PL50 or something similar doesn't have to do with power output.
It is about improving sound quality.
Anyway.

I ordered 2 from Aliexpress. 1 for my turntable and 1 for the phono preamp. But, the shipping date is mid Feb.

This is a very versatile power supply.
Never crossed my mind that it is suitable for turntable!

Many turntables have cheap power adapters for 12v or 15v. Same for many phono amps.

It would be nice if it had two outputs with shared current.

Can I use it amps like Soloist 3X GT?

@mRaaghava
You can use everything that is within the specs of the PL50 - 12V/3A or 15V/2A.
The Soloist 3X GT needs a 24V power supply so you can't use the PL50.

Nice write up. I am in the hunt for one that does 5V as well of you have a recommendation.

Thank you.
For 5V I think that you have to look at the iFi products.
Not LPS but high quality SMPS.
There is also the Silent Angel Forester
https://www.silent-angel-audio.com/forester-f1
That has two 5V outputs but is quite expensive.

@Piober I recommend the Allo Shanti for 5V. Extremely clean power, solid build.

For me, the best way I've explained it to my friends -- you know how some panel displays talk about "true black"? This thing gives me "true silence". You can hear it as the absence of any other sounds between tracks. It is a subtle thing, but it is there if you want it to be.

Agreed, very well said.
