Head-Fier
Pros: Exceptional build quality with premium materials like 304 Stainless Steel.
Custom 9.2mm Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) dynamic driver for impressive low-frequency reproduction down to 10 Hz.
Detailed and natural sound signature with a slight U-shaped curve.
Smooth and coherent midrange with excellent vocal clarity and instrument separation.
Dual ultra-tweeter balanced armature drivers for extended high frequencies with clarity.
Above-average technicalities with excellent detail retrieval.
Easy to drive with a wide range of audio sources.
Innovative "Pentaconn Ear" connector for improved durability and ease of use.
Cons: Limited choice of included ear tips, lacking options like foam or wide bore tips.
No interchangeable cable terminations.
Mid-bass could be slightly stronger for a more impactful slam.
The case may not be pocket-friendly for those with smaller pockets.

Cheers A, great write up. I also would love to hear how the Gaea and Pilgrim compare, so I'm looking forward to anyone sharing A/B side by side thoughts. Whilst I don't hate metal shells, I really also prefer the looks of the resin shells and colouring options for these brands. As you say, it's a cool way to get a taste of the house tuning for a much lower outlay.

New Head-Fier
Pros: Small and lightweight
Feature rich
Neutral sound signature
Physical buttons
Supports High-Res codecs
Stable Bluetooth connection
Decent battery life
Mic, NFC, shirt clip
Cons: No Type A to Type C adapter or Type C to Type C data cable
Just barely enough power for most IEMs
No balanced output
No independent volume control without the app
Find W3 II feature is underwhelming

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Decent accessory line-up
Anti-gravity magnetic clasp to hold earbud in the case
Very ergonomic and light
Acceptable battery life
Supports wireless charging
Voice assistant available, with 3 mics per earpiece for clear calls
IPX5 waterproofing
ANC and ambient mode included
Free Creative app available to unlock goodies like EQ and touch button customization
Extremely stable Bluetooth range and connectivity, compatible with various Bluetooth formats
One for bassheads in stock form
Smooth treble and upper mids, without harshness
Cons: LDAC codec not compatible
Coherency issues - in stock mode, bass is boomy, slow and untextured compared to faster xMEMS drivers handling the treble
Not for purists or neutral-heads, due to boosted bass with mid-bass bleed (thankfully ANC mode or EQ on the app can shave off the massive bass)

Cons: Not All Configuration works well (for me at least, the Bass+ isn't my thing)
Itchy Cable (Although they said it's now changed)
Awkward fitting
Perhaps not enough sparkle on female vocals.

Warm regards. I don't want to be a sage, but the number of 5 drivers per shell fits in my opinion also in the case of PRO 2. Those BA drivers are of dual design (apparently 2 combined in one body), so there are really up to 4 in each shell. So the name ZS 10 will stand for this version as well. Thanks for the review. 🖖

Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: Ergonomic: Flexible and lightweight, much thinner than most of the competitors
Overall improvement of the sound quality without significant change of the sound signature
Cons: For people who expect huge change you may be disappointed
Not cheap (more than 1/3 the price of the IER-Z1R)
Long waiting time
I have been a happy customer of Sony IER-Z1R for many years, but I always complain about the ergonomics of the IEM package, including the stock cable hook, which makes the fitting a bit...

New Head-Fier
Pros: A refined, cleaner-sounding KZ Classic!

All rounder, mild V-shaped sound signature (subjective)

Clean, non-lacking, mildly elevated lows.

Clean, open mids.

Extended, airy treble.

Above-average technical performance under 40 USD!

Versatile tuning switches!

Very good build quality.

Very good fit, comfort, and isolation.

Easy to drive.
Cons: BA timbre is apparent in most tracks in my library.

Instances of peaks and mild sibilance are present in certain tracks.

IEM can be bulky for smaller ears.

Barebone accessories, they even forgot to put a medium sized silicone eartips in my unit (could be an isolated case, but a good heads up)

While a very good improvement over the ZS10 Pro X, ZS10 Pro, and the original ZS10, this IEM does not sound dramatically different when compared to other KZs that have recently existed.

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Crisp Highs: With well-controlled and detailed treble, the Gate delivers sparkling highs that add brilliance to the overall sound signature. There's no harshness or sibilance, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable listening experience across various genres.

Remarkable Midrange: The Gate boasts remarkable midrange performance, offering clarity and richness that truly captivates listeners. Vocals and instruments shine with exceptional detail and accuracy, making for an immersive listening experience.

Quality Bass: While not overly emphasized, the Gate offers good quality bass that provides a solid foundation to the music. It's well-balanced, adding depth to the sound without overpowering the mids and highs.

Great Price to Performance: onsidering its sound quality and performance, the Gate offers excellent value for money. It competes with higher-priced IEMs in terms of sound reproduction, making it an attractive option for audiophiles on a budget wanting TOTL sound experience.

Unique Design: The Gate features a metallic faceplate that adds a touch of elegance to its design, enhancing its visual appeal and giving it a premium look.
Cons: Shell Size: Gate may not fit well for some users, particularly those with smaller ears.

Sound: Definately not for people looking for smooth and pleasant listening, these are sparkly energetic and fun sounding IEM's, although I would not say this is a con, just putting up here to let people know in a gist.
