I'm enjoying mine with ROHM module & Trullis HA8802 op-amps (very analog tube sound) on my Xduoo XD05 Pro.
With Audio Technica ATH-IEX1, it sounds really awesome!

Oh! Thanks. That could be just the ticket. A little more money than I wanted to spend, but spending some time saving up makes it all the more worthwhile.

I’ll go read the other thread here about it.
There is a Xduoo XD05 Pro thread in this forum, you can read more about it.
Personally, I highly recommend this as it's very good sounding and able to drive from sensitive iems to high demanding headphones.
The sound quality can match even high end DAPs!

Thanks! I came across that as one of the top google hits in looking for reviews. Spent the evening digging in. Great thread (as are so many here). The interchangeable component idea is really interesting, and quite the rabbit hole. Probably more than I need --- but it does suggest a longer life and more flexibility. It's an interesting idea.

The iFi Gryphon also has both digital and analog inputs.
